We have had an urgent appeal from Warwickshire Police. We understand visits have been made to an address on Brights Road, in the Camp Hill area of Nuneaton believing it to be the address of a well-known bike thief.
The address is NOT LINKED to the offender, and that person WILL NOT be found here. The address is occupied by a single parent with a disabled child that has no relations with the offender. She is feeling frightened and at risk through no fault of her own.
We plead with anyone planning to visit this address to refrain from doing so, and to alert anyone you know that the offender will not be found at this address. There may be serious implications if you take the law into your own hands, and the Police are on alert for anyone visiting this property and harassing the occupant.
If you have any information that you wish investigated, acted upon, know or suspect where a stolen motorcycle is being kept – CONTACT US anonymously and we will deal with it on your behalf, message officers directly and ensure that the relevant action is taken.
We understand emotions are running high, and there are high levels of frustration, but please think with your heads. We don’t wish to see community members in cells any more than Police want to be wasting time that could be looking for bikes and apprehending thieves, sat outside of an address to protect the occupants from vigilante action. No good will become of it.
If you don’t believe that the action you feel should be taken is being taken – talk to us, we are your voice! Use it!
