YOUR OLD, UNUSED LOCKS AND CHAINS CAN HELP PREVENT MOTORCYCLE THEFT.
Like many of us, we often have old locks that are redundant and not used. Rather than them gathering dust in a shed or garage, they could be put to good use.
We are currently looking for donations of Locks and Chains to enable new riders or riders with no or low budgets, access to rudimentary security. We will gift these locks to those that are unable to afford a proper chain so that their bike can remain secure. Many of these riders are young, and riding to work and back on their first machine. With horrific insurance costs due to thefts, their low wage is often eaten up in running costs, and adequate chains and locks are just out of reach.
It seems mad, that there are usable locks and chains gathering dust and will likely be weighed in, or rust away when they could be put to good use. The more secure ALL bikes are, the less fun stealing them becomes.
So Please, if you have any unwanted locks that you are willing to donate to a rider struggling to then do get in touch. We can arrange a collection or drop off point. Many dealers are already part of the scheme, and new ones are joining. It would put those redundant locks to good use, and may save the theft of a fellow rider’s bike.
